Agglomerated Welding Flux SJ301
GB/T 5293
AWS
DIN 32522 BCS 1 98 AC 10 SKM
Type and Characteristics
SJ301 is an agglomerated calcium-silicate type flux for welding general structural steels, pressure steels, pipe steels as well as fine-grain steels. Relatively high silicon pick-up is obtained and using general welding wires, manganese pick-up also results. The neutral point for manganese is approx.2.5%. thus allowing the flux to be used with wires with a low Mn content. SJ301 is particularly well-suited to twin-wire, tandem and multi-wire welding at relatively high speeds. It can be used wire electrodes containing Mo. The production of large pipes (especially spiral pipe welding) is a typical application for this flux.
SJ301 can be welded with AC or DC at up to 1200A(single-wire process).
Grain size: 2.0-2.28mm(10-60mesh).
Damp flux should be redried at300- 350℃,2h.
